A near mint coral Montblanc pix number 53 with a masterpiece clip.
The Montblanc pix 53 was produced in the 30s. It was produced either in Denmark or in Germany or in both contries. Information varies.
Imprints are very good, deep and easily legible. On the barrel, in the middle, one reads "Montblanc" and towards the top of the barrel, near the star-cap, one reads "53"
Colour is very good, even and persistent. There is absolutely no discolouration to the barrel.
The cap has perserved about 90% of it's deep black, and the star itself is gracefully yellowed the little bit which makes it even more atractive.
The plating of the clip is in perfect order.
The pencil is in fully working condition, propelling lead as it should.
Please note, that photos are taken with a macro lens, thus revealing much more than the naked eye can see. Apologies for dust on the photo.
